Our second album, New Candys As Medicine, turns 10 this year. To celebrate, we’re reissuing it one final time: 221 hand-numbered black vinyl copies, just like the original release. Tracks from this album still feature in our live sets, and its songwriting holds its own among our records. Recording it was a journey, we worked in three studios. The initial sessions happened at T.U.P. Studio in Brescia with Pierluigi Ballarin (Stars Reach The Abyss producer), but we didn’t finish there. We added overdubs, tweaks, and re-recorded "Bones On Fire" at Spazio55 in Treviso with Andrea Condotta, a talented, hilarious metalhead who ran the studio and nearby rehearsal rooms where we used to practice, it felt like home. "Dark Love", written at the last minute, was recorded in a different studio in Treviso right away. Mixing was handled by John Wills (Loop’s original drummer). Looking back, Fernando’s obsession with reverse reverb makes us smile, he wanted it on everything! Albums capture a moment in time, and this one reflects who we were in 2015, still a bit like that today, just with less reverse reverb.
